Being online is just not enough
Before the first consultation I always check my prospects’ websites. Just because it’s a good conversation piece. Some of my clients tell me they are frustrated from their site don’t perform well enough. On the other side, most of them doesn’t even know the number of their visitors!
Well, your website is not a magic tool to instantly increase your revenue. Just because it is available online, it is not necessarily seen by anyone. And if seen, the way to your cashier might not be clear. A website is just a frame to build and keep relationships with people, customers or prospects. It has nothing to do with business results, unless it fulfills quite a few conditions listed below.
1. Grab the Attention
Call the attention of those who you think are interested in your products or services. Use the words most searched by your target audience (show any interest and I’ll show you how). And it’s not just about copies, but all titles, including images and video clips. Oops, you don’t have any videos embedded? Have some if you can, because most of the people seek video content on the web.
2. Keep up the Interest
You must keep your visitors. If they find your information given boring, they’ll leave in within the time of a click. They’re not there by accident – obviously they’re collecting information, definitely within your core business. The best is to give them what they want, in a way only you can. And they will return every time you refresh your content. Just ask Vilma, there’ several ways to manage fresh and interesting web contents.
3. The secret subject of Desire
Well, it’s not enough to engage readers by your shared content. You must raise desire towards your products and services. Be a bit misterious, don’t tell the whole truth. And what’s more important, keep your content attractive and unique. Be aware of, sooner or later, you’ll be the subject of comparision, when the moment of decision comes along. Keep an eye on your competitors, never tell about them but always make the difference.
4. Ease their job to decide
In every moment give support for the decision. Make yourself clear about your demand of your visitors. Let them ask, let them make their points – not just to improve yourselves by them, but even to help them in their decision in every way you can. There must be a way to express interest and take action on the side. Collect inquiries and appointments. No one will seek long to find out how to pay to you. You have to sing out the cheese you want. Or, leave it to Vilma, I’ll do it for you.
5. …and again and again
Even if you have the best of breed website, you have to look after it and make it visible in every way. Always have campaings driving your prospects to the site. Your URL must be given on your stationery, on visit cards, in your ads, even on your facebook page (did I mention you MUST have a facebook page linked to the site?). If your website is not visited, if it doesn’ build attention, interest, desire and finally: revenue, you might as well scrap it.
If you cannot do the cycle by your own, trust in Vilma. I’ll be surprisingly good for you.
